The Midget BB Kings are currently sitting in third place behind Napanee and Ennismore with wins over Frontenac, Loyalist and Centre Hastings this past weekend.
We Like Purple Much Better Than Orange
Friday night the team travelled to the Middle.of.Nowhere. to play the Frontenac Flyers to an 8-1 win. The Kings
opened the scoring early in the first period and by the end of the first frame it was 4-0 Kings with a hat trick for
Kyle Rutter. Andrew Ward added 2 in the 2nd period. Other scorers were Andrew Foster, Walker Deroche and Chase Eaton. Highlight of the night - Moms and a sister dancing in the stands to keep warm. That barn was COLD.
Assists were handed out to Allison (3), BK (2), HVV (1), Easton (2), Young (2), RK, Lavender (2) and Ward. Connor Cruickshank was solid (although not terribly busy) in the net.
Trick or Treat
A bit of a different game than the previous one against the Jets. No sweet treats were handed out by either team and it was a scoreless tie at the end of one. The Jets put themselves on the board with a goal in the opening minute of the 2nd. The Kings answered with goals by Hunter Van Vlack and Bryce Marion. And that's the way it ended, 2-1 Kings. Carter Whitteker handled net-minding duties.

Twas the night before hunting season...
The last place Grizzlies from Centre Hastings rolled into Wellington on Sunday for a mid-afternoon tilt. It looked like maybe the Madoc crew had already checked out to go deer hunting. Andrew Ward had the lone first period goal and then the Kings found the back of the net 4 times in the 2nd (Marion, RK, Rutter and Deroche). Tyler Allison added one more in the third to make it 6-2 Kings. Helpers for Lavender, Deroche, Allison (2), Foster and Miller.
