Season Opener - Away - Good Effort - 1st Loss
The Peewee AE Kings made their way down the 401 to Whitby to entertain the Durham Crusaders for the opening game of the 2015/16 PECMHA season. The puck dropped at 1:15 and right away it was end to end action.
Durham would gain possession first and after a few nifty passes..the Crusaders would find the back of the Kings net. Our boys shook it off and battled back late in the first period with a goal of their own tying the score at 1's, but by the end of the an action packed second period, the Kings would head to the dressing room down by 2. The start of the 3rd period was all Kings with two quick goals in the first couple minutes of the 3rd tying the score at 3. The Kings found themselves in the PB and couple players short and suffered two more goals.. PEC would fall to the Durham Crusaders 5-3.
A great first game effort for our boys and certainly some great signs of team gelling were seen on Saturday in the Iroquois Park Sports Centre.
