Two Games; Two Wins
After some lacklustre games, the PEC Midget Kings found themselves on the right side of the ledger this past weekend with wins over Lakefield and Frontenac. The Kings have a light schedule coming up with a single game on Sunday evening when they host the Brighton Braves in Wellington (6pm start). Current EOMHL standings have the PEC Midgets tied for 3rd place with Bancroft. GO KINGS GO!

Lakefield Chiefs Were Not in Charge
Sounds like a new and improved team showed up to play Lakefield on Friday night.  A 5-2 win was maybe a bit of a surprise but we'll take the two points. Goal scorers were HVV with 2, Tyler Allison, Wyatt Gilbert and Andrew Ward into the empty net.  Helpers for BK (2), AP Alex Brady with 2, Allison and Bryce Marion.

We Still Like Purple Much Better Than Orange
The Flyers from North Frontenac rolled into Picton Saturday afternoon. It wasn't the same high scoring game as when the Kings travelled to their frozen barn in late October. Matt Chan got things started in the first with a goal (assist to Chase Lavender). Tyler Allison scored unassisted in the first with Ryan Kelly and Hunter Van Vlack also recording tallies to take us to the flood with a  4-0 lead. No more goals for the Kings in the final frame for a 4-1 win. Assists for Andrew Ward and Ryan Kelly.

Carter Whitteker played both games and was a Master of the Mangled Mesh allowing just 3 goals. (Sorry Carter, no pics of you from the weekend. Photographer will take some on Sunday - promise!)

Coach Kelly: "Coaches were happy with the compete level and felt there was more consistency than what had been displayed the past 2 weekends. Very happy with the play of the AP’s Friday night in Lakefield.  Looking forward to game against Brighton.  Have struggled with them in exhibition and tournament play so they will provide a solid test for us on Sunday."114.JPG
