PECMHA Power Skating & Goalie Clinic Announcement
The PECMHA Executive is pleased to announce the following partnership for the upcoming 2016/17 hockey season.

The PECMHA Executive is very pleased to announce a partnership with Game Ready Hockey Development for the 2016/17 hockey season. The Game Ready Development team will lead our Representative Power Skating and Goalie Clinic Programming for the upcoming season for our BB and AE players. Game Ready Hockey Development is primarily Jake Grimes and Chris Longo, who are no strangers to the Quinte Area and hockey development. Jake is currently the Assistant Coach of the Peterborough Petes of the OHL, after 11 years with the Belleville Bulls. Chris Longo is a former OHL Rookie of the Year who played professional hockey for 12 years. Well regarded as a Power Skating Instructor and is currently the Skills Development Coach for the Peterborough Petes of the OHL as well the Quinte Red Devils (AAA) and Belleville Jr Bulls (AA). They'll be working with their partner Sebastian Farrese for Goaltender Training. Learn more about them here: http://www.gamereadyhockey.com/our-crew-1/.

To be part of a PECMHA Representative team this year (except Midget), your son/daughter will be required to take part in the new Power Skating and/or Goalie Clinic program. The cost of the program will be rolled into your registration fees. Registration for the upcoming season will be open on line by the end of July. In person registration dates will be announced in the near future. The cost of the Power Skating and/or Goalie Skills program will be $205/player. If your son or daughter doesn't make the Representative team, you'll be reimbursed the cost of the Power Skating/Goalie Clinic program in a timely fashion.

Things you will find different with this years Power Skating & Goalie Clinic Program, some of which were suggestions made by our membership.

•Due to busy hockey weekends, it was decided that Monday night would be a hockey free evening for our families. The majority of this years program will take place on Wednesday nights.
•Your team will not participate in a Power Skating session every week. Your 12 hours of team level skills will be spread out between Sept 21 - Feb 15th.
•All Power Skating sessions will take place at the Prince Edward Community Center in Picton.
•Increased focus on skating.
•Each Representative team will have their own on ice sessions which leads to a lower instructor to player ratio.
•Goalie clinic....small grouping with technical instruction and also goalies will be expected to join their teams Power Skating time slot at no additional cost.

For those that are interested, the attached file is the Request for Proposal that was sent to many individuals and hockey development companies in the Quinte area. More details such as schedules for each teams power skating dates will be made available by the BB and AE coaches upon selections of the teams. Again, we're excited to trial this important aspect of your son/daughters hockey development with Game Ready Hockey. We look forward to hearing your feedback about the program throughout the hockey season. Local League Power Skating and Goalie clinic programming will be determined when we have an understanding of interest. There will be a sign up during the Houseleague formation day which will be announced soon.
