Welcome to the ICHL

The Inaugural Local League Hockey season has begun for the PECMHA in the ICHL.

After the first two weekends, the ICHL experience appears to be off to a great start for our Local League teams.  With a little more travel than in the past few years playing in the OMHA pilot project with QW, Stirling and Napanee, our parents, and most importantly our players are hopefully enjoying the highly competitive games and new scenery for the 2016/17 hockey season.  Please be a regular visitor to the ICHL website (www.intercommunityhockey.ca) to see where our teams rank in their divisions as they continue with their regular season play.  The regular season will continue until the end of January.  February will bring our first ICHL playoff season with divisions (Novice, Atom, etc) being split into an A and B pool format based on their regular season records.  After this split has been determined a round robin schedule will be put in place and the ICHL playoffs will begin.  An ICHL championship day will be scheduled for March 25th or 26th at a location to be determined for each division.  Each team will be part of a Championship day playing in a placement game to end their first ICHL hockey season.  The PECMHA season for our local league teams will end on Saturday, April 1st.  That day will consist of our own internal Championship Day at the Essroc Center with an awards banquet and pizza to be held after each divisional final game. Times and details will be announced at a later date.

The PECMHA Executive would like to thank all the coaches and trainers that have stepped up to enhance our players hockey season.  Also, we would like to thank all the parents that have showed their support to our new ICHL experience.  All we can hope for is that everyone has an enjoyable hockey season.

Thanks,

PECMHA Executive
