2017/18 PECMHA Registration Now Open
Submitted By admin on Tue 06 27, 17
The PECMHA Executive is pleased to announce the opening of our On-line Registration for the 2017/18 hockey season.

As summer has officially arrived, the PECMHA Executive would like to give our hockey families the opportunity to spread out the cost of their upcoming registration expense.  Registering online now will give our Kings families the option to extend their registration payments over 3 installments.  The installment dates will be July 15th, August 15th, and October 1st.  The Preschool Hockey program (formerly named Initiation), Midget Representative and Midget Local League divisions are the only exceptions to the three payment plan option.  To take advantage of this new payment plan, register online prior to July 15th by clicking here https://registration.hockeycanada.ca/registration/?ID=5438

In June, your Executive sat down and put together a balanced budget for the upcoming 2017/18 hockey season and developed some new creative ways of offsetting the yearly increased operating costs.  As a result of these increased operating costs (ice rentals, referee fees, OMHA fees, Insurance, etc.) there will be an increase to your son/daughter's hockey registration for the upcoming season as detailed in the table below.

If your son/daughter is planning to try out for the a PECMHA Representative team, the $60 (Novice) & $80.00 (Atom-Midget) tryout fee and $205.00 Game Ready Power Skating/Goalie Clinic fee will be included in your registration total.  If your son/daughter is released from the Representative tryout process, you'll be either refunded your power skating fee or your third payment will not be processed if this was the payment option you selected.

Included in this registration fee increase is an additional $50 in yearly fundraising fees.  With each registration, you will receive a $50.00 booklet of raffle tickets (various prizes to be announced at a later date) that can be sold to offset your fees.  These booklets will be distributed to families in October.  The draw for the prizes will be held on Saturday, December 9th at the Prince Edward Community Center.  A new addition to the fundraising feature of your registration will be the introduction of the inaugural PECMHA NHL Hockey Pool.  An additional $50.00 will be added to your registration and you will receive six copies of the hockey pool entry form.  Five entries to the pool can be sold to offset your fees (similar to the raffle tickets) and then handed in for entry into the pool.  The sixth copy is free and would be completed by your registered hockey player.  This will not only generate more revenue for the Association to balance the budget, but also increase interest by your son/daughter in the NHL, and the players that they grow up looking to emulate.  We also hope it adds to some great dressing room conversations amongst our Kings players and coaches.  All hockey pool entry forms will be handed out to our Representative players by the managers of each team once they've been formed.  Our Local League players will receive their copies during the Formation Day on Saturday, September 23rd at the Essroc Arena in Wellington.

In person registration dates will be announced at a later time on our website.

If you have any questions regarding your registration, please contact our Registrar, Kim Stacey at [email protected]

Have a safe and enjoyable summer.

Thank you,

PECMHA Executive
