Year End Awards - Membership Input

The PECMHA Executive is looking for our membership input into our year end awards for both Local League and Representative teams.
PECMHA Members
The hockey season has flown by once again. It's now time to recognize our volunteers on the exceptional job that they did for your son/daughter during the hockey season. The PECMHA would like your input into selecting this years winner for the following awards:
Bruce Barrett Memorial Award – Manager of the Year: This award is presented to an individual who is extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of the PECMHA, has provided invaluable assistance to parents and coaching staff throughout the year, and has performed the administration duties related to team operations
Don Wight Award – Rep Coach of the Year: This award is presented to an individual who has given many hours of dedication to the PECMHA and players. The recipient of this award reflects the coaching standards of PECMHA, which include showing respect for officials, opponents and parents, espousing a philosophy of fair play, demonstrating concern for the development of the athlete, responsible conduct beyond the athletic arena and
presenting a positive public image of coaching and the role of the coach.
Local League Coach of the Year: This award is presented to an individual who has given many hours of dedication to PECMHA and it's Local league players. The recipient of this award reflects the coaching standards of PECMHA, which include: showing respect for officials, opponents and parents, espousing a philosophy of fair play, demonstrating concern for the development of the athlete, responsible conduct beyond the athletic arena and presenting a positive public image of coaching and the role of the coach.
PECMHA Appreciation Award: This award is presented to an individual(s) that have given countless hours for the good of the association
If you have someone in mind that you feel is deserving of recognition for the job they did this hockey season for one of the awards listed above, please send your reasoning why in an email to Heather Zantingh (
[email protected]) by Wednesday, March 7th.
Local League Awards: Our Local League Championship day of hockey will be held on Saturday, March 24th. After the completion of each divisions game, award presentations be held in the multi-purpose room at the Wellington Arena
Rep Awards Evening : Our Representative Awards Evening will be held on April 3rd at the Wellington Arena starting at 7:00pm.
