National Coaches Week #ThanksCoach
Submitted By Pres on Sun 09 22, 19
As national coaches week gets underway, a big thank you is being extended by the Prince Edward County Minor Hockey Association to those local hockey coaches who have made valuable contributions for the organization. September 21st - 29th, 2019 has been designated as a week to celebrate the tremendous positive impact coaches have on athletes and communities across Canada.

Prince Edward County Mayor Steve Ferguson has proclaimed this week to provide the 300,000 coaches who call Prince Edward County and Ontario home with “the resources, representation, and recognition they deserve for the time they devote to ensuring Canadians live an active and healthy lifestyle.”

PECMHA President Steve Payne echoed the Mayor’s sentiments.

“PECMHA would like to thank the over 50 coaches that volunteer inside of our organization. Their endless devotion to teaching our sport and the effect they have on our athletes each week both on and off the ice is unparalleled and often goes unrecognized by the general public,” Payne said. “Our Association would also like to thank all sport and youth activity coaches in Prince Edward County for everything they do for the youth of our community. So, please everyone join us in saying #ThanksCoach.”
