Submitted By Heather Zantingh on Sunday, August 1, 2021
2021/2022 Hockey Season is Now OPENYour PECMHA Executive would like to welcome you to registration for the 2021/2022 season. We have been busy planning for what we hope will be a “normal” hockey season. Of course, there will be some unavoidable changes due to the current global pandemic we are still in but it is our hope to provide a safe, inclusive and fun environment for all to enjoy this winter.Online registration will be open from August 1, 2021 through to September 15, 2021.

Once again try-out and powerskating fees will be included in the registration fees for all Atom, Peewee and Bantams Rep players (not including goalies) If your player is unsuccessful in securing a spot on a Rep team then the fee for powerskating ($210) will be refunded.

Also included in all registrations will be a mandatory fundraising fee. This year we will be doing Cash Calendars which will be handed out by the coaches/managers after the start of the season. With the calendar you have the opportunity to sell them to your family and friends to earn back your $100 fundraising fee paid with your registration.

As part Local League Uniform players registered for Local League will be asked to purchase a second practice quality jersey and a pair of PEC Kings Local League Socks. You will get to keep these 2 items when the season is over.

We will be offering our hockey families the opportunity to spread out the cost of the registration expense. If you register online now we give you the option to extend your registration payments over 3 installments. The first payment will be when you register, then on October 15th and  Nov 15th

Please note that if you have a new player joining PECMHA you will need to visit one of the in-person registration dates or contact the registrar at [email protected] to get your account set up to make an online payment. We will need a copy of your players Birth Certificate as well as proof of residency.

Tryouts for Rep teams (Atom U11, Peewee U13, Bantam U15, Midget U18) will run from Sept. 27 until October 3. The later date is to accommodate time for tryouts at the AAA, AA and A levels which will begin after Sept 7, 2021.

Pre-skates and checking clinics will begin after Sept 7 (dates to be announced later). These are offered on a voluntary basis at an additional cost. More info to come.
