Registration for the 2017/18 Prince Edward County Minor hockey season is now open.  The PECMHA Executive provides you with two options to register your child for the upcoming hockey season.

Option # 1 – On-Line Registration

The On-Line Registration through the Hockey Canada portal is ready for you to proceed.  Please click on the link below, or through the webpage (under Registration tab) to login to your existing account and get the season started.  If you do not remember the email address associated with your account, please contact our [email protected].

If your child is new to Prince Edward County Minor Hockey, and you wish to register on-line, please contact our [email protected]. This includes any new players that have moved to the area, players being registered for the Initiation program for the first time, a player who is new to hockey in any division. 

Please note that the only method of payment through on-line process is with a credit card.

Option # 2 – In-Person Registration

In-Person dates are listed below for you to come and register your child with Prince Edward County Minor Hockey if you prefer the In-Person registration method.  Please bring a completed registration form (file attached below) and full payment in the form of either cash or a cheque. 

If your child is new to Hockey Canada and Prince Edward County Minor Hockey, please bring a copy of your child’s birth certificate and proof of your current address (utility bill with current address and copy of your driver’s license, also with current address).  This information is  MANDATORY for new members and you will not be able to register your child without it. Alternatively, digital copies of this information can be sent to [email protected] in advance of the in-person registration date.   

If your child is new to PECMHA but has played hockey in another center you may need to complete a residential transfer in order to register.  Please contact [email protected] for details.

Methods of payment for in-person registration are cash or cheque.  If you would like to pay with a credit card, please refer to Option # 1.

In Person Registration Locations and Dates

Wellington Arena

Wednesday, August 23rd (Wellington Arena) 6:30-8pm 

Tuesday - September 5th (Wellington Arena) 5:30-7pm


Picton Arena

Tuesday, August 22nd (Picton Arena) 6:30-8pm


*Please note, if your child intends to participate in Representative tryouts, your tryout fees and the mandatory Powerskating / Goalie Clinic will be incorporated into your total registration cost.  Due to the changes this year with the mandatory Representative Powerskating cost, there will be a payment plan option to select if desired at time of checkout.  Your credit card will be debited the base registration cost and tryout fee at time of check out and the remainder of your fees will be debited from your credit card on November 1st.  If your child is not selected for a Representative team (BB or AE), the Powerskating portion of your fees will be refunded.

One parent from each family new to Minor Hockey must participate in the mandatory “Respect in Sport” on line training session.  There is a small fee associated with this training, but it’s a OMHA mandatory component for your son/daughter to participate in the Initiation, Tyke, HouseLeague/Local League or Representative programs.  See the link below.

*PECMHA Bylaw "Tryouts for First Entry Teams (BB)" states "Any player wishing to qualify for play on an OMHA Rep. Team in an age category above his present category is eligible to attend tryouts. This applies for the first entry teams only. The Coaches’ Selection Committee will assess players in this situation. The Coaches’ Selection Committee will make the assessment as to whether the younger player may stay based on the following criteria:
a. Any forward must be the top three
b. Any defenseman must be top two
c. Any goaltender must be the top at the tryouts unless there are only two competing"
