Dear Hockey Families old and new

I am happy to announce that registration is now open for the PECMHA 2022-2023 season. Please register  at register.hockeycanada.ca.  The executive has been very busy preparing for what we hope is a “normal” hockey season.  There are some changes with the registration process, which I hope will make things more streamline in order to help families better with organization and the financial obligation of having a player involved in minor hockey. Now when you are registering for your player, you will also register for such things as; LL powerskating, pre-skates, goalie clinics and body checking clinics. (Dates to be determined) This will enable you to register one time for all items at once and can be included in your monthly payments. All clinics will be available at a first come, first serve basis and space will be limited with a waiting list available if needed. Also new for this season, we will be offering 4 instalments for the payment process. Payments can be made by either credit card at time of registration or by e-transfer. (all e-transfers to be sent to [email protected]) Payment schedule is as follow:

Time of registration – 25%

August 15 – 25%

September 15 -25%

October 15 – 25%

There will be a $25 late charge added to all missed or late payments. Those who wish to register for Rep hockey will have until September 1, except for NRPs who are trying out at other centres. We will be accepting Local League registrations until October 1. You will notice a slight increase in registration fees this season. This is due to the new ruling by OMHA which has disallowed all associations from collecting gate fees at all Rep games. To put this into perspective, last season we were able to pay all referee fees, for both Rep and Local League, with money collected at the gate. Also white jerseys and socks will not be included in registration fees for Local League. If these items wish to be purchased they will be available at the beginning of the season on our website.

You may notice upon registration that you will be asked to update your players’ profile. Please take the time to update any information needed. Hockey Canada is trying to update all profiles that were transferred over from the old system.  If an address is to be updated, please provide the new address. You will be asked to provide proof of this address if different from the one on record. To do this you will need to attach a copy of your drivers license with the matching address or a recent utility bill. For further assistance please contact me at [email protected]

Mark your calenders for the return of the PECMHA MILK TOURNAMENT October 28-30th. Divisions will be available for U11, U13, U15 and U18 Rep. More information to follow.

Enjoy your summer, see you in September!

Kindly,

Charlene Insley

One parent from each family new to Minor Hockey must participate in the mandatory “Respect in Sport” on line training session.  There is a small fee associated with this training, but it’s a OMHA mandatory component for your son/daughter to participate in the Initiation.  See the link below.
