PECMHA is excited to be offering Spring Rep Tryouts. With the new ruling from the OHF opening all borders for Rep hockey, we thought it was best to keep up with the latest changes to give our players the best chance for success. We will be offering tryouts for U9MD, U11, U13, U15 and U18.
We will also be offering each division "Prep" skates before the tryouts commence. These skates are NOT mandatory, however it will be a chance to keep your player skating after the regular season as well as an opportunity to learn possible drills and skills that the Head Coach will use during the tryouts. The fee for the Prep Skates is $10/skate.
Players must be registered through the HCR system before attending the first tryout skate. Players have until the last tryout date for their division to register for tryouts (this does not include any exhibition games, if offered), however, the registration fee remains the same. Once tryout process has started, no discounts or refunds will be given.
Players trying out for any division, are guaranteed 2 evaluation skates. Players must be invited to attend 3rd skate or participate in an exhibition game.
If a player is injured and unable to attend tryouts, they still must be registered for tryouts in HCR and the President must be informed of the situation.
If a player is registered to tryout in another centre, and is unable to attend all tryout sessions with PECMHA, they must attend 1 session (either Tryout #1 or #2) to be considered eligible for selection to the team. They must also inform the President of the situation beforehand, of their intention to tryout for multiple teams. NOTE: Players who register late will not be guaranteed 2 skates, as described previously described.
Per OMHA guidelines, an offer of commitment may be made to a player after the first tryout skate. This offer will include a link to the PECMHA registration page, where you will have the option to pay the season fees in full or choose to pay a deposit and set up a payment plan. Accepted methods of payment are credit card or etransfer. If online registration is not completed within 24 hours of sending the link, the offer may be rescinded. Per OHF rules, accepting an offer of commitment, disqualifies the player from trying out, or accepting an offer from another centre.
A full refund will be given when a player is registered for tryouts with PECMHA, however they accept an offer with a different association before the first tryout.
